Information collected automatically

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand website usage. Analytics is loaded only after a visitor accepts analytics through the privacy choice shown on the site when the production configuration requires consent gating.

Depending on configuration, analytics may collect information such as session statistics, approximate location, browser and device information, and first-party identifiers used to distinguish users and sessions. We use this information to understand which pages are useful, how visitors navigate the site, and how to improve VOAB.

We do not intentionally send directly identifying personal information such as your name or email address to Google Analytics.

Cookies, form services and similar storage

Essential site functionality may use browser storage. Non-essential analytics or similar technologies are not loaded until the required privacy choice has been made. You can reopen the site’s “Privacy choices” control to change that choice.

When the embedded email signup form is displayed or submitted, the browser connects to MailerLite to provide the form, double opt-in and email-delivery workflow. The form also uses reCAPTCHA anti-spam protection. Those services may process technical request information needed to operate and secure the form under their own service terms and privacy practices.

Information you choose to provide

If you contact us or report a correction, we may receive the information you submit, such as your email address and the content of your request.

If you request the Vietnam Budget Starter Pack, the public signup form collects only your email address. We do not require your name, phone number, city or country for this workflow. The form includes an explicit email-consent checkbox and uses double opt-in, so the Starter Pack and subsequent travel emails are not delivered until the subscription is confirmed.

MailerLite also maintains the subscription status and operational records needed to provide signup, confirmation, unsubscribe and email-delivery functions. We use this information to deliver the Starter Pack, send occasional practical Vietnam travel updates, manage subscription preferences, prevent abuse and respond to privacy requests.

Service providers

VOAB currently uses the following providers for relevant visitor or subscriber processing:

• Vercel — website delivery and hosting infrastructure.
• Google Analytics 4 — website measurement when analytics consent applies.
• MailerLite — embedded email signup, double opt-in, subscriber management and newsletter delivery.
• Google reCAPTCHA — anti-spam protection on the email signup form.

Other providers will be added to this notice when they are actually used to process visitor or subscriber data.

Affiliate links

Some outbound links may be affiliate links. Partners may collect information under their own privacy policies when you visit their websites. VOAB does not control a partner’s website or privacy practices.

Retention, unsubscribe and deletion

We keep an active subscriber’s email and subscription records while the person remains subscribed and for as long as reasonably needed to operate the service, meet legal obligations, maintain security or respect communication preferences.

We review inactive subscribers using an approximately 12-month inactivity window and may unsubscribe contacts who no longer engage rather than keeping them active indefinitely. Unsubscribing stops marketing email. A limited suppression or preference record may be retained where reasonably necessary to make sure an unsubscribe request continues to be respected or to meet legal obligations.

If you request erasure and there is no overriding reason to retain the information, VOAB can use MailerLite’s “Forget” function. MailerLite states that information for a forgotten subscriber is completely deleted within 30 days.

Your choices and contact

You can use the site’s privacy choice to accept or decline analytics and can use browser controls to manage stored data. Every VOAB marketing email includes an unsubscribe mechanism. For access, correction, deletion or other privacy questions, email hello@vietnamonabudget.com.
