Da Nang airport transfer · Hoi An · 2026
Choose the transfer that fits your landing—not just the lowest fare
Da Nang International Airport to Hoi An has several practical options, but they solve different problems. The cheapest scheduled bus can be excellent for a daytime arrival; a ride-hail or private transfer can be better value after a late flight, with children, heavy luggage or a hotel far from the bus endpoint.
Quick answer: which option fits?
| Option | Best when | Main trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| Official Hai Van Bus | Daytime arrival + Cua Dai endpoint works | Fixed operating window and last-mile from the Hoi An stop |
| Shared shuttle | Schedule and hotel/stop rules line up | Less flexible; exact stops and departure times are product-specific |
| Grab | You want flexible direct transport | Use live app quote; price changes with demand and endpoint |
| Private transfer | Late arrival, group, luggage or low tolerance for uncertainty | Usually higher total, but vehicle cost can be shared |
Official Hai Van Bus: the evidence-led baseline
Da Nang International Airport currently lists the Hai Van suburban bus connecting the airport with Hoi An at 120,000 VND per trip. The airport’s current guidance lists operating hours of 07:30–16:00 daily and the Hoi An endpoint as Cua Dai Parking Lot.
This can be strong value when your arrival leaves enough buffer and you are comfortable solving the last mile from the Hoi An stop.
Shared shuttle: similar budget zone, different convenience
In the 23 August 2026 refresh, the selected Klook Da Nang Airport/Da Nang City–Hoi An shared-shuttle package surfaced at about US$5.39 per adult. This is a dated product observation, not a guaranteed future fare.
The real value depends on departure time, stop list and whether the product serves your hotel or leaves another last-mile transfer. Leave enough buffer after an international arrival for immigration and baggage.
Grab: use the app quote, not an old fare table
Grab currently supports airport pickup at DAD and advertises upfront fares for GrabCar. For Hoi An, the correct number is the live quote for your exact time and hotel endpoint.
Grab can make sense when you arrive outside a useful bus window, want direct hotel delivery or are sharing the car. VOAB does not freeze a generic DAD→Hoi An amount without a same-date app observation.
Private transfer: buy certainty when certainty has value
Private transfer becomes more attractive when a vehicle is shared by several travellers, when you have large luggage, when your flight arrives late, or when you want someone waiting with your flight details.
Current marketplace listings show multiple private products on the corridor, but prices vary by date, vehicle, airport pickup and exact route. Compare the live total plus cancellation and waiting terms before booking.

T1 vs T2: confirm the terminal and meeting point
DAD has Domestic Terminal T1 and International Terminal T2. Current airport/tourism guidance publishes specific transport and pickup context for both. For any pre-booked service, send the correct flight number and terminal and read the operator’s meeting instructions before landing.
Simple decision rule
- Land before mid-afternoon, travel light, and Cua Dai works: check the official Hai Van Bus first.
- Need tourist-oriented scheduled pickup/drop-off: compare shared shuttle rules.
- Need flexibility or direct hotel delivery: compare a live Grab quote.
- Late arrival, family/group, lots of luggage or low tolerance for uncertainty: price a private transfer per vehicle.
The right comparison is your airport arrival hall to your actual Hoi An hotel—not “bus fare versus car fare” in isolation. If Hoi An is the stay, continue to Hoi An Travel Cost 2026; if you are still choosing the base, use the Da Nang hub.
